Introduction

Welcome to MeReadALot (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of mereadalot.com and all of its reading calculators, guides, and related features (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Acceptance and Changes

By accessing or using MeReadALot, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after a change means you accept the current version.

Educational Estimates Only

The Service exists to give general, educational estimates. The reading-time, reading-speed, yearly-goal, TBR, audiobook, and book-club calculators apply standard formulas and reasonable default assumptions to the numbers you enter; their results are planning aids, not guarantees. A reading-time figure is not a promise, a reading-speed result from one timed passage is not a definitive score, and a finish date is a projection, not a certainty. Use the outputs to plan and to motivate your reading, and adjust the inputs to match your own books and habits.

A TBR backlog estimator
A page-to-audiobook time calculator, and a book-club pace planner
Educational guides, a Learn section, and an illustrated museum

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Your Responsibilities

When you use the Service, you agree to:

Use the tools in good faith for your own personal reading planning
Enter accurate figures, and check units and assumptions before relying on a result
Not attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service
Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others’ rights

No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is.” While we aim for accuracy, we make no warranties, express or implied, that calculations are error-free or fit for your particular purpose, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MeReadALot and its suppliers will not be liable for any damages — including loss of data or any consequential loss — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

Intellectual Property

The site’s original text, design, and calculator code are the property of MeReadALot and protected by copyright. Museum and Learn material sourced from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons remains under its original licenses. You may use the tools for personal, non-commercial purposes; you may not copy or repurpose the site’s materials for commercial use without permission.

Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Service may link to third-party sites — including booksellers and retailers — and displays advertising through networks such as Google AdSense. We do not control or endorse third-party content, and using any linked site or advertised product is at your own risk.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction for any dispute.
